Hi, I'm Vicky, a mixed media illustrator and artist from Worcestershire. I've been creative and artistic for as long as I can remember. Having background studies in Art and Textiles I've always loved colour, texture and creating 'whimsical' pieces of art. Mixing mediums is a great way to give depth to artwork. Watercolours and crayons are my favourite mediums to paint and colour in. I mostly create animals, whether that be wild animals or our beloved pets! I'm particularly fascinated by "eyes". They tell us so much about a person or animals character! You will find most of my work focuses on side profiles to capture the detail of the eyes. Creating a piece of wall art in the form of a hanging picture or a greeting card brings me so much joy! Something to look at and smile about every time you walk past it. Especially if it is a painting of an animal you particularly love. I've always been fascinated by stories of talking animals such Tales of Beatrix Potter or Winnie the Pooh! There's something so magical about that kind of world, and that's what I strive to create in my work.
